RETIREMENTS
LeRoy Brungardt will retire Wednesday from the Kansas Insurance
Department after 21 years of service. Before joining KID, Brungardt
was a general insurance agent, a teacher and a coach in Topeka and
Hays. He joined the department in 1988 and became director of the
Licensing Division (now the Producers Division) in 1999. He was the
first former insurance agent to be the director of the division that
licenses agents.

Steve Bowser has been hired at Denison State Bank as a senior
vice president and investments/analysis officer. He works at the
main office in Holton in the finance, deposits, credit and internal
