Sometimes I struggle with worry over circumstances I feel I have
no control over. However, God tells us in the Bible: "Be careful for
nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God" (Philippians
4:6). "Careful" is defined in Strong's Concordance of the Bible as
"to be anxious about." Why, if I am told to not be anxious about
anything, would I continue to worry?
I think about how circumstances in the lives of some of the
people related to us in the Bible might have changed their way of
thinking permanently. One story in particular is the story of
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. This story found in the book of
