Roundup: USAID signs agreement to conserve Mara River Basin in East Africa

NAIROBI, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- U.S.?s development agency USAID has signed a three-year agreement for an estimated three million U.S. dollars with East Africa Community?s (EAC) to conserve Mara River Basin.

A statement from the U.S. embassy in Nairobi said on Friday that activities to be carried out under the agreement will help ensure that the Mara River Basin, already in jeopardy, is brought under sound management for a long, healthy future.
