A longtime media executive has been appointed the new executive
director of Empire State Development Corp., New York's chief
economic development agency.
Peter Davidson is the former owner and publisher of El Diario/La
Prensa, the leading Spanish-language daily in the United States, and
for the past nine years served as chairman of the New York City-
based J.M. Kaplan Fund.
"Peter brings a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur to Empire
State Development," said Dennis M. Mullen, Empire State
