The fossil fuel market has roughly mirrored the stock market the
last two years, climbing throughout 2007 and plummeting last
September before slowly rebounding this year.
But a third market -- clean energy -- is equally as volatile, an
investment banker and an economic analyst told hundreds of
environmental lawyers gathered in Baltimore last week.
"If last year, we were poised for change in green energy, this
year the jury is still out," said Susan F. Tierney, managing
principal with The Analysis Group in Boston and expert on energy
policy.
