Farm cited for serious heat violations

A Chino farm was found to have serious violations of heat illness prevention for workers after officials conducted a statewide sweep.

The state division of Occupational Safety and Health conducted the heat enforcement effort during high temperatures last week, according to a news release.

More than 300 inspections found heat-related violations at 91 outdoor work sites - 50 were construction sites, 39 were agricultural sites, one was a recycling business and one a car wash, according to the news release.

Six companies were cited with "serious" infractions, including Yoogil Farms Inc. in Chino. The local farm was cited for lack of heat illness ...
