Village of Sussex - Midwest Refrigerated Services took its first step toward winning village approval for its proposed operation out of the former Tombstone Pizza plant on Village Drive off east Main Street at an August Plan Commission meeting.

The company plans to lease about 80,000 of the facility's 200,000 square feet from Nature's Path, which bought the building from Kraft Foods, according to Nature's Path Sussex plant manager Ken Hacker.

Ironically, Tombstone Pizza is one of the clients who will be using the refrigeration company's coolers.
