Article: Navy awards contract to remove Hangar One siding

The Navy has announced that it has chosen a company to remove the siding of Hangar One in Mountain View, even though there is not a plan to replace it.

The Navy has awarded a $22.3 million contract to AMEC Earth & Environmental Inc., a London-based environmental and engineering consulting firm, to remove the historic Moffett Field structure's PCB-laden siding, clear out the hangar's interior and apply a weather-resistant coating to the remaining steel frame.
