The Mine Safety Technology Consortium and Bridgemont Community
and Technical College will co-host Coal Appreciation Day on
Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Montgomery.
To take place in Davis Hall on the Bridgemont campus downtown
between noon and 3 p.m., the event, in its second year, will be a
showcase of various mining equipment and mine-related support
companies, including a presentation about the importance of coal to
West Virginia's economy.
The presentation will occur from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Davis Hall
auditorium.
Among the products and equipment companies will display outside
of Davis Hall are Jack McVey's underground refuge, the Lifepod
