PONTIAC - Brian Seay knew he wanted to do a project on the
potential closure of Pontiac Correctional Center after a parking-
lot interview he conducted last year.
"We were in a parking lot in a gas station interviewing this
woman, and she started crying when she spoke about the closure and
the impact it would have," Seay recalled. "That was the catalytic
moment I had where I knew that this was an important story."
Seay, a communications graduate student at Illinois State
University, bought a video camera. After nine months of filming and
300 hours of editing, Seay completed "Pontiac's Rebellion." The free
film will be shown at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at Pontiac Township High
School, 1100 E. Indiana ...
