Annapolis author Julie Heath has gone public with "Private Lives of Private School Moms."

Botox blondes, designer dogs, calculus in kindergarten, haute couture for Halloween - it's all part of the luxurious lifestyles that are played out and parodied within the novel's 316 pages.

Although at least one local private school has expressed concern about the book's content, Julie insists that any similarities to actual people or events are coincidental in this work of fiction.

"I took little nuggets of truth, exaggerated them and had fun with it," she said.

She described the book as a combination of the "The Nanny Diaries," "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and the boarding school coming-of-age ...
