Article: Luc provides Chesapeake lift

A little bit of pain wasn't going to stop Tori Luc from leading Chesapeake to victory.

Luc, who was limping with an ankle injury throughout the second half, scored both goals for the Cougars in a 2-1 win against Old Mill yesterday.

"I get hurt pretty easily," Luc said, "but if I'm on the bench, I feel like I'm letting the team down."

Luc didn't let the team down as she scored the first goal in the 12th minute to give the Cougars an early lead and then punched in the game-winner with just more than 20 minutes left.

"(Luc) always knows when to put herself in the right spot," Cougars coach Liz Farrell said. "She's not afraid to pass the ball and keep going, which she did well today."
