Bauer to receive award

The New York State Bar Association's Law, Youth and Citizenship Program will present attorney William G. Bauer, a partner in Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP's Rochester office, with its Distinguished Attorney Award.

The award recognizes Bauer's leadership in expanding the Monroe County Rubin Mock Trial Program for high school students. He stepped in as program director in 2002, following Dr. Peter W. Knapp's retirement. Knapp led the program for 26 years. In the past seven years, the program has been expanded to more than 180 students in 12 high schools.
