SAN DIMAS - Grab them reigns, the rodeo is coming here.
The San Dimas/Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo on
Saturday and Sunday will be at the Tex Shoemaker Equestrian Arena at
Horsethief Canyon Park.
It is "a good way to bring the country into the city," rodeo
volunteer and Azusa resident Tom Merrill said.
Cowboys and cowgirls from America and Canada will compete in
competitions, such as steer wrestling, bull- and bronco-riding, team
roping, barrel racing and tiedown roping.
The rodeo will provide a weekend full of action-packed
activities, but preparation for the event is an 11-month effort.
