A HULL food manufacturing plant has been praised for its outstanding health and safety record.

Cargill's oilseed crush factory in Morley Street, central Hull, has operated for more than a decade without a single work-related injury.

The plant processes oilseeds such as soy beans, palDm kernels and sunflower seeds into crude vegetable oil, animal feed and fibre.

The oil is then sent for refining into food-grade or may be used as an industrial or fuel feedstock.

The site, part of US manufacturing group Cargill Plc, has also achieved a top five-star rating in the British Safety Council's Health And Safety Management Awards over the past decade, making it one of the UK's highest-performing ...
