Republican Robert F. McDonnell picked up the support Thursday of
the Northern Virginia Technology Council's PAC -- marking the
gubernatorial candidate's second major business endorsement in the
vote-rich region.
The political arm of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce
endorsed McDonnell over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds last week.
The NVTC has about 1,000 member companies, representing more than
200,000 employees, and is considered one of the premier business
groups in the region. The TechPAC board voted to endorse McDonnell
after interviewing both candidates this week and examining their
voting records on issues of importance to Northern Virginia's
technology community.
