Much misinformation is circulating about the city's plan to
demolish the fourplexes in the Sunrise Lane area and to build
affordable housing there.
In a Sept. 29 letter, "Arden-Guthrie nightmare," the author seems
to assume that the new project is in the area where demolition has
already taken place, and that more apartments will be built there.
She also says that the property on the corner of Highland and Arden
is no longer available for commercial development, such as Home
Depot. This is not the truth, and such misinformation only foments
fear on the part of residents of San Bernardino.
In an attempt to see for myself what is proposed, I drove through
