Article: Gilda's Club building for sale Group plans move to smaller space

For five years, a former Masonic Lodge on N. Oakland Ave. has been an airy, peaceful and near-perfect place where people living with cancer relax, share their fears and expand their lives.

It also has been a financial drain for the Gilda's Club it houses, one that the board of directors has decided it can no longer afford as donations to the nonprofit decline.

The building is up for sale, listed with Boerke Co. for $1.1 million, the board of directors and Executive Director Trish Haudricourt informed the club members recently.
