Schmear, Laurel Gordon "Louie"
Of Delafield, died Thursday, October 1, 2009, of congestive heart
failure, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, at the age of 77. Laurel was
born on October 23, 1931, the son of, and 4th born to, Audrey Evelyn
(Barnes) and Laurel Henry Schmear. His first job was at Waukesha
Motors at age 16, where he was a lathe operator. He proudly joined
the U.S. Army in 1950. He trained in El Paso and spent a year in
Illesheim, Germany as a machinist. Sgt (T) Laurel Schmear was
discharged in 1953. He worked at Northwest Tool & Die in Butler, WI;
Harley-Davidson in Brookfield; Hein Werner Corp.; Riverside Mold &
Die, and Accurate Products in Waukesha. He lived in the Town of ...
