Article: Murder rocks Oconomowoc Woman found stabbed to death in Maple Street home

City of Oconomowoc - Police continue to investigate the murder of a 39-year-old Oconomowoc woman who was killed the morning of Oct. 1, while her 4-year-old son was asleep in the house.

Kimberly A. Smith's live-in boyfriend, Tim McMickle, discovered her body, dressed in sleepwear, bound and lying on the floor in the family room of their home at 334 S. Maple St..

Police said he called 911 at 9:32 a.m., from his cell phone.

Smith had been stabbed multiple times. A knife thought to be the murder weapon was found outside the residence.

McMickle returned to the home to check on Smith when she did not show up for work, he told police. He had left the residence that morning at 6 a.m. ...
