Ival V. Lawhon Jr., 61, St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, October
3, 2009, at a local hospital. Diagnosed 16 months ago with
pancreatic cancer, he used his remaining time to the fullest.
Ival was born February 1, 1948, in St. Joseph, the son of Ival V.
and Bertha L. (Higgins) Lawhon who preceded him in death. He lived
his entire life in the home in which he was born.
He married Renee Wintcher on November 24, 1979. She survives of
the home.
Ival was a graduate of Central High School and received his
bachelor of science degree in radio and television broadcasting from
Arizona State University.
He was a veteran of the US Army Infantry, serving during the
