The weather has cooled, the garden is slowing and now it is time
to plant.
While many people are only attuned to spring planting, fall is a
great time to get some plants in the ground.
There are several kinds of plants that require fall planting.
Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocus and most other spring bulbs
have mandatory chilling requirements where they must spend the cold
winter months in the ground in order to grow.
While woody trees and shrubs do not require planting in the fall,
there are numerous advantages.
Look at your time! Come spring, you struggle to fit in tilling
and planting between rainstorms.
