It has already been said that the Classic 8 Conference is harbor
for some of the state's best golf teams, perhaps the best conference
membership in the state.
The WIAA regional meet at Brighton Dale last Wednesday served
proof.
With eight schools participating and top four advancing to
sectional, each of the four Classic 8 entries advanced, including
fourth-place Mukwonago in the meet hosted by Westosha Central.
MHS finished with a round of 395, a touch high but still 15
strokes better than fifth place.
"Scores tend to move higher as the pressure of the playoff system
begins, and Wednesday was a prime example," coach Jay Christiansen
