GANESHA, the elephant deity riding on a mouse, is the Hindu god
of success, the destroyer of evils and obstacles. He sits in a
corner of Dosa Houze in Middlesbrough, with the mien of a man who's
backed awinner and (being the elephant god) isn't going to forget
it.
We are into the upper atmosphere of unequivocalness, that most
rare Eating Owt air. This place is totally different, utterly
charming and simply superb. Better yet, much of the profit goes to a
charity back home in southern India.
Sashi Kala, still three days a week a child psychologist in
Hartlepool, opened the restaurant a year ago.
"I'm as mad as a hatter, " she says, which is doubtless the
