Elks BBQ fundraiser on tap: The Pittsburg Elks Club will hold a
fundraiser Sunday to benefit the Elks charities.
A Purple Pig barbecue and third annual car show will be held from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 200 Marina Blvd.
Proceeds help benefit disabled children and the Elks National
Foundation, which provides youth scholarships, disaster relief and
aid for veterans, said Bob Rouner, a spokesman for the local Elks
lodge.
The lunch includes either pork ribs or chicken with all the
fixings, Rouner said.
Tickets are $10. For more information, call the Pittsburg Elks
