'Coal Appreciation Day' celebrated today
"Coal Appreciation Day" will be celebrated from noon to 3 p.m.
today at Davis Hall on the Montgomery campus of Bridgemont Community
and Technical College.
Mining equipment will be on display and a presentation will focus
on the importance of coal to the state's economy. Create West
Virginia and Kingston Resources Inc. will sponsor lunch. There will
be a tailgate theme to acknowledge the upcoming Friends of Coal Bowl
football game between West Virginia University and Marshall
University.
Bridgemont Community and Technical College and the Mine Safety
Technology Consortium are sponsoring the event.
