Thiensville -- A less than robust economy has had an impact on
development in the Mequon-Thiensville Town Center, a redevelopment
area centered on Cedarburg and Mequon roads in Mequon and the
downtown area of Thiensville along Main Street and Green Bay Road.
Town Center Development Specialist Carl Templar brought the
Village Board up to date on efforts to bring businesses into the
redevelopment area.
"There has been significant activity even if the economy is less
than robust," he said.
Templar said 100 developers were contacted during the last year,
although it turns out some are no longer in business, victims of the
