If your family Bible includes the Book of Judith, it's a good bet
you're Catholic.
Judith is one of a handful of Jewish texts written between 200
B.C. and A.D. 100. The texts are sometimes called the apocrypha - a
word that means "hidden."
The apocrypha are not part of Jewish or Protestant Scriptures.
Catholicism, however, does consider Judith scriptural, and Catholic
Bibles include the Book of Judith.
This book tells the story of Judith, a devout young Jewish widow
who helped her people defeat the Assyrians. During the Assyrians'
assault on Judea, Judith feasted with Assyrian commander Holofernes.
