It was refreshing to hear Lisa Jackson, director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, say that massive reform is needed to protect the nation's kids from toxins such as bisphenol A that are ubiquitous in household products.

"We are not getting the job done," Jackson said Monday in Washington, D.C., at a meeting of government scientists, chemical industry representatives and environmental groups.
