I'VE COME OUT of the closet. Not only that, I've crossed the
aisle.
I decided last month. Fifty thousand people were watching. For
all I know, you were there, too.
So there's no use hiding it any longer. I might just as well come
out and say it.
I'm a Democrat. I wasn't, but now I am. It all happened so fast,
it's hard to explain.
But I'll try.
We were at an art festival in Lafayette. According to crowd
estimates, so was everyone else in the Bay Area. That meant secrecy
was not an option.
The streets were lined with craftsmen selling jewelry. Throngs
ogled at rare treasures including tie-dye T-shirts and baseball caps
for dogs.
