Article: Belly dance and comic book convention comes to Richmond

RICHMOND -- The annual Carnival of Stars Belly Dance & Comic Book Convention, an event that has filled Centennial Hall in Hayward the past five years, arrives at its new home at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza, this weekend.

The event will feature continuous professional belly-dance performances and other entertainment, live music, workshops, panel discussions Mediterranean-style food, comics vendors and artists from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
