Meehan had spoken of his memories of Ravenhill Road and slanting
rain was the most prominent image in his mind. So the visitors were
not disappointed last night as they arrived to a Belfast flooded in
various parts and generously spilling. Welcome Bath.
From that promising beginning Ulster took heart, and with a try
in each half and some pin-point kicking from the bearded Ian
Humphreys they can continue in their quest for that quarter-final
place, where they have not been since the season they won the
Heineken Cup in 1999. Something from Edinburgh away next week could
really spice up a season that is turning for the good for ...
