Pierre-Jean Chalencon of Paris took this advice from Napoleon and
created a collection of Napoleonic
antiquities so remarkable that it became a traveling exhibition
that's been seen by 200,000 people in the United States in the last
10 years.
On Sunday, "Treasures of Napoleon" opens at the Muzeo in Anaheim,
the first time it's ever been shown on the West Coast.
Napoleon Bonaparte was one of the giants of history, rising from
humble beginnings as a soldier during the French Revolution to
eventually conquer most of Europe with his French armies and declare
himself emperor.
