Resourceful Indonesia's Papua expects more investments

JAKARTA, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Governors of Indonesia's easternmost provinces asked investors on Thursday to place more investments in the resourceful region that offers huge amount of gold, copper, bronze deposits and land for agriculture development.

Speaking in a seminar entitled "Papua investment Day" held here, Papua Governor Barnabas Suebu said that as of only small amount of resources that have been extracted by the investors in the easternmost region.

"Huge amount of natural mineral resources are waiting to be extracted from there for the benefit of mankind. We need sustainable development program to be implemented there," ...
