Zimbabwe elected into UN tourism council

HARARE, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- The Zimbabwe Council of Tourism (ZCT) hails the election of Zimbabwe into the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Executive Council, New Ziana said on Thursday.

ZCT President Emmanuel Fundira said Zimbabwe would use the seat to market its tourist attractions to niche markets and boost the industry.

"We now have a voting right in the world tourism executive council," he said.

"Because of this, we will be able to paint a good picture of the country to the whole world and at the same time ...
