Livestock report from the Coalgate sale of October 1.
Prime lambs
Heavy prime lambs made $122 to $130, medium $110 to $121, and
lighter $103 to $110.
Values: A yarding of 1200 prime lambs continued to meet with
sound demand. However, big heavy overweight lambs dropped in value
$8-$10, with the best selling up to $130.
Sales included: MA Ruck (Waikari) 14 lms at $96-$112; PD Harris
(Waipara) 12 lms at $90-$116; Snowdon Station (Rakaia Gorge) 29 lms
at $120-$130; Newberry Farm (Amberley) 39 lms at $123; Scargill
Hills Ltd (Scargill) 102 lms at $125; RJB Carmichael (Greta Valley)
66 lms at $101-$119; BW & LD Nell (Darfield) 69 lms at $115;
