(David Lean, 1945) The lighter of the two Nol Coward adaptations
that David Lean released in 1945 ('Brief Encounter' was the other),
this spirited comedy has Rex Harrison as a novelist whose second
marriage (to Constance Cummings) is threatened by the appearance of
the ghost of his first wife (Kay Hammond). Margaret Rutherford
steals the show as a sardonic medium.
