Article: Enrollment highs at Cal State East Bay

HAYWARD -- Another large freshman class this fall helped Cal State East Bay shatter records for the second consecutive year, making enrollment the highest it has been in the university's 53- year history.

That comes despite the university limiting enrollment this year because of state budget cutbacks.

Cal State East Bay saw an all-time high of freshmen on campus with 1,460 enrolled this fall compared with 1,340 freshmen in fall 2008. There are 14,840 students working on degrees this year, up from 14,180 students last fall.
