Federal funds will improve the scenic byway slicing through
Medicine Bow National Forest.

CHEYENNE - Wyoming will receive $2.8 million in federal funds for
improvements to the Snowy Range Scenic Byway.
"This is a big-dollar project, and we're glad we got it funded,"
said Talbot Hauffe, Wyoming Department of Transportation senior
planner and the state's scenic byway planner.
"We're very excited about it," he added, because the money does
not come from state revenue.
The Federal Highway Administration announced Friday that 43
states will receive $40.7 million for 160 projects to improve and
promote highways designated as scenic byways.
