ABINGTON
$1.13M in budget cuts urged
The interim town manager is recommending cuts totaling $1.13
million to address a mid-year budget deficit. The town has to reduce
its $38 million budget by about 5 percent, town officials say.
BRAINTREE
Gas line damaged; several homes evacuated
Several homes on Cedarcliff Road were evacuated after a
construction crew putting in a new water main accidentally damaged a
gas line Wednesday afternoon. No one was hurt.
