The owner says he is New Zealand's guru of cows, but MAF puts
another 50 down during checks of 22 of his farms.

Further cases of animal neglect - including underweight animals,
inadequate feed, overstocking and lack of shelter for calves - have
been found on farms belonging to the Crafar family.
The Agriculture and Forestry Ministry is now deciding whether the
farms' managers and owners will be prosecuted.
During an investigation, it was decided to put down about 50
dairy cows from at least five of the Crafars' properties.
The Crafars' 22 North Island farms were placed into receivership
on Monday after the family defaulted on debt payments.
