Article: Seven vying for two council seats in Pico Rivera

PICO RIVERA - There are seven candidates vying for two seats on the City Council in the Nov. 3 municipal election, and four challengers said they are running because of what they view as corruption and a lack of transparency in City Hall.

Incumbent candidate Ron Beilke did not return calls seeking comment.

Marty Morones, Luis Alvarado, Raul Riesgo and Pete Ramirez said they are unhappy with the way the city is being run and said they wanted to change it.
