Article: State's congressional delegation defends Oshkosh contract

Wisconsin's congressional delegation has come to the defense of Oshkosh Corp. after the specialty truck-maker's competitors protested the award of a recent military contract that could be worth more than $4.5 billion.

Oshkosh won the contract in August for the Army's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. Losing bidders Navistar International Corp. and BAE Systems PLC protested the award to the Government Accountability Office, saying they doubted whether Oshkosh could build the vehicles at the quoted price.

Oshkosh has maintained that it can meet the demands of the contract.
