Article: Firm sold to help south expansion ; Sale will fund new offices for insurance brokers

A HULL insurance broker has been sold to a national chain to allow its former owner to expand its South Yorkshire operation.

Priory Park-based Rixon Matthews Appleyard (RMA) has been bought by Towergate Risk Solutions Ltd for an undisclosed sum. RMA former owner, Doncasterbased ProAktive Risk Group (PRG) disposed of the Hull company to fund a new office in Sheffield.

The company is retaining RMA managing director Andy Morley, who will move to its new office, and account executive, Sam Leeder and IT and HR manager Angela Stancer, who will both relocate to PRG's Doncaster office.

All other jobs at RMA are being retain by the new owner.
