TIPP CITY, Miami County -- When Koenig Equipment, Inc., opens its
new John Deere dealership on County Road 25A at Blauser Drive in
January, the new building will be twice the size of their current
building on U.S. 40 in Vandalia.
They'll be closing their Vandalia store once the move is made,
said Ray Koenig, president of the company and one of 28 owners of
the employeeowned company. Eight of his family members own the
controlling stock in the company, started by his grandfather in
1904, he said.
"We're moving our operations to be closer to the center of where
our customer base is located," Koenig said. He considers that Troy,
Tipp City, New Carlisle, Piqua and Covington, he said.
