Cindy Freland, president of Maryland Secretarial Services, of
Bowie, on Oct. 15 was to receive the Business Woman of the Year
Award from Another Approach Enterprises during its Minority Business
Dinner on Oct. 15. Maryland Secretarial Services acts as a personal
assistant, providing a range of support services to businesses.
Rafael Chikvashvili received a Governor's Citation at the
Conference on Social Integration of Immigrants in Maryland: A New
Comprehensive Approach, in Annapolis. He has served on the board of
Jewish Community Services since 1995. Chikvashvili founded the
Jewish Union of Russian Immigrants, and has served as president of
