POMONA - El Monte's city manager was among 30 people arrested by Pomona police during a sting on prostitutes and their customers, a city official said today.

Jim Mussenden, 59, of Glendora, was among those arrested in the undercover operation, which ran from 6 p.m. to midnight Thursday, said El Monte Assistant City Manager Dante Hall.

The arrest will be addressed in a closed session of a special meeting of the City Council on Saturday, he said.

"The El Monte City Council will take immediate and appropriate action," Hall said in a statement. "Two items will be discussed at the special City Council meeting ...
