People have been talking about the renaissance of Stokes Croft
for as long as I can remember.
A busy, arterial street into the city centre, it has long
suffered an image problem because of street drinkers and crime, but
the potential has always been enormous for those brave enough to
invest the time and money.
A few forward-thinking food businesses have tried their best to
raise the game for Stokes Croft.
First, there was Pieminister with its shop and pie factory, and
more recently The Canteen in the old Hamilton House office block.
Now, it's Toby Bywater, who has just re-opened Zazu's Kitchen, a
smart and elegant cafe/restaurant in the heart of Stokes Croft,
