WORK on a Pounds 10m development of new homes in Willerby is under way.

Beal Homes' construction team moved on to the Great Gutter Lane site of St George's Court last Friday.

A quarter of the 45 homes have already been sold off-plan following the opening of a sales office in late August, reports the family-owned Hull house builder.

"Sales have been even better than we dared imagine," said managing director Richard Beal, who was joined by company directors at St George's Court to mark the ground breaking.

"It's real evidence that the new homes market in Hull and the East Riding is taking off again following a tough year."
