What, no Democrats want to be governor?
There is Jared Christiansen. He's 18 and a declared candidate. My
top issues at that age were girls, beer (legally at the time) and
acting stupid. Christiansen has position papers on jobs, taxes and
education.
The Ellsworth student likely would have to quit his job at
McDonald's if he's elected. He also might want to think about taking
down his MySpace page that lists his favorite book as "Don't like to
read." (He was probably kidding.)
Now with Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton abruptly out of the race,
Christiansen has the taste of victory in his mouth.
"Just waiting to see what Barrett does now," Christiansen tweeted
on Twitter this week.
